De Europese Commissie heeft de fusie tussen de verfproducenten AkzoNobel en Axalta goedgekeurd. Er is wel een voorwaarde: AkzoNobel moet in Europa de afdeling die autolakken produceert van de hand doen. De Commissie denkt dat de combinatie wat lakken betreft anders te groot zou worden. Garages die auto's repareren zouden dan te maken kunnen krijgen met hoge prijzen.
