Volwassenen die aan beide oren doof of ernstig slechthorend zijn, komen nu ook in aanmerking voor een vergoeding van een tweede hoorimplantaat. Dat maakte het Zorginstituut Nederland gisteren bekend. Kinderen kregen al wel voor beide oren een zogenoemd cochleair implantaat vergoed. Maar volwassenen hadden hier alleen recht op als zij doof zijn door een hersenvliesontsteking, of als ze doof én blind zijn. Andere ernstig slechthorende of dove volwassen konden maar één apparaatje vergoed krijgen.…
