שלושה תושבי חברון נעצרו הלילה (ראשון) בחשד שהביעו ברשתות החברתיות תמיכה בפיגוע בגזרת יהודה, שבו נפלו ביום שישי סמ״ר רון יונתן רויטמן וסמל יובל שי סוילם , ובארגון הטרור חמאס. לפי המשטרה, החשודים פרסמו תמונות של המחבלים לצד דברי שבח ושירי הלל, ואחד מהם כינה את הפיגוע “מבצע חברון״. פעילותם נוטרה בידי פיקוד המרכז, והלילה הגיעו הכוחות לבתיהם.
