שוטר בפלורידה שהוזעק לבדוק מה עלה בגורלו של בן 71, מצא אותו ללא רוח חיים - ולפי החשד החל בתוכנית להשתלטות על ביתו, ששוויו כ-400 אלף דולר. במשך שנים הוא השתמש בפרטי המנוח, זייף את חתימתו, שיפץ את הנכס במאות אלפי דולרים ואף טען שהיה חברו. התרמית נחשפה כשקרובי משפחתו של המנוח מכרו את הבית - והקונים החדשים נתקלו בשוטר: "הונה אנשים במקום להגן עליהם״
