בבית העלמין בנשר מובא (שישי) למנוחות נח נוביצקי ז"ל, תושב העיר בשנות השבעים לחייו שמת על סיפון "קראון איריס" אחרי האפיזודה באי היווני סירוס. חברים במועדון רוטרי בו היה פעיל סיפרו כי הדיווח על חשד לפצצה באוניה הדאיג אותו מאד. הנוסעים הורדו מהאניה באמצע ארוחת ערב, רוכזו במבנה על המזח, שם נשבו רוחות עזות, קיבלו שמיכות להתכסות בהן וחלקם יצאו לעיר ורק אחרי כארבע שעות, לאחר שסריקת כוחות הבטחון זיכתה מחשד את כלי השייט והתברר כי מדובר בדיווח שווא, הורשו הנוסעים לשוב.
