יו"ר ועדת הבחירות קבע כי מסע הבחירות שסמוטריץ' קיים בשש ישיבות הסדר, שבהן לומדים חיילים, חוקי. "מה שנאסר הוא השתתפות פעילה", כתב. על פי החלטתו, מותר לחיילים תלמידי ההסדר "להיות מאזינים סבילים למסר פוליטי"
