כבר בכניסה לכנס הענק של גדי איזנקוט אפשר היה להבחין בדברים שלא היו קורים אצל יאיר לפיד: שורות של כיסאות ריקים בפאתי האנגר 11, שהושכר על אלפי המקומות שבו. הקהל ברובו מבוגר, וניכר שתא "צעירי ישר" עוד לא ממש התבסס בשטח. יש בקהל מי שפחות מתעניין בטוען לכתר, ויותר במי שהוא שואף להוריד ממנו – בנימין נתניהו. חלק מהנוכחים כבר השתתפו בעבר בהשקת האיחוד בין בנט ללפיד, כשעוד האמינו שדווקא הם יביאו את הבשורה.
