בהצהרה לילית אמר מ"מ מנכ"ל הוועדה עו"ד דין ליבנה כי "דיווחים שפורסמו במהלך היום - אינם מבוססים כלל. לכשתושלם החקירה, ממצאיה יוגשו ליו"ר, ויוודאו מימדיה והשלכותיה". הוועדה גם אישרה בהודעתה את תוצאות האמת הסופיות, "בכפוף לתיקונים קלים"
