The government on Friday raised the price of diesel by Rs2.29 per litre, but kept the petrol rate unchanged at Rs377.91. Following the revision, HSD will retail at Rs402.96 per litre. This is the second consecutive day the government kept the price of petrol unchanged. The prices are applicable from Oct 31 (Saturday) to Nov 2 (Monday), according to the Petroleum Division’s notification. The government continues to levy Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel.…
