Om Nederland veilig te houden, wil Defensie sneller en meer innoveren. Een nieuw instituut moet daar een rol in gaan spelen. Staatssecretaris Boswijk van Defensie heeft het Nationaal Instituut voor Defensie Technologie (NIDT) gepresenteerd bij de kazerne in Stroe. Bedrijven en start-ups kunnen zich daar melden voor een opdracht. Het instituut hoopt zo kennis en technieken bij elkaar te brengen. Dat is hard nodig, zei Boswijk bij de opening.
