O presidente reeleito Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva disse uma, duas, três, inúmeras vezes que aprovada a PEC da Segurança Pública , criaria um novo ministério no governo para cuidar do tema. Há registros públicos de Lula falando isso pelo menos desde o início do ano.
