O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva poderá indicar quatro ministros do STF até 2030. Além da vaga aberta de Luís Roberto Barroso, que se aposentou em outubro de 2025, outros três ministros devem se aposentar no período por conta da aposentadoria compulsória: Luiz Fux completa 75 anos em abril de 2028, Cármen Lúcia em abril de 2029 e Gilmar Mendes em dezembro de 2030.
