– Okres transformacji w Polsce jest wciąż niedoceniany, a powinien być przedmiotem wielkiej narodowej dumy. To był jeden z celów tej książki: opowiedzieć o przełomie lat 80. i 90. generacjom, które nie doświadczyły czasu transformacji i żyją dzisiaj w dostatniej ojczyźnie. Bez trudu naszego pokolenia tego wszystkiego zapewne by nie było – mówi Grażyna Kulczyk. Do księgarń trafia właśnie jej autobiografia zatytułowana „Budując”.
