El actual, Benjamin Netanyahu, ha conseguido resistir al envite de la ola de cambio que lideraba el antiguo jefe del Ejército Gadi Eisenkot, cuyo bloque no ha conseguido sumar el respaldo necesario para aproximarse a la mayoría de 61 escaños en la Knesset, mientras que los partidos árabe-israelíes han cosechado un resultado histórico y piden que se tenga en cuenta a una comunidad que representa el 20% de la población.
