Dominikana planuje zwiększyć liczbę terminali obsługujących statki wycieczkowe z siedmiu do jedenastu, rozwijając projekty w prowincjach Samaná, Barahona i Montecristi i w Santo Domingo. Celem jest zwiększenie ruchu turystycznego w różnych częściach kraju i umocnienie pozycji Dominikany na karaibskim rynku rejsów wycieczkowych.
