Een 57-jarige man uit Helmond is aangehouden op verdenking van het verkrachten van een 15-jarige meisje in 1994. De politie kwam de man na ruim 30 jaar op het spoor door een DNA-match, meldt de politie Oost-Brabant. Het dove en slechtziende slachtoffer stond in de avond van 30 mei 1994 met een aantal andere kinderen bij een manege in de gemeente Sint-Michielsgestel te wachten op vervoer naar het doveninstituut waar ze verbleef.
