Reeleito neste domingo (25) numa virada histórica, o presidente Lula ( PT ) terá que enfrentar no quarto mandato um Congresso mais à direita do que nos três primeiros . Com 99,79% das urnas apuradas, o atual presidente tem 51,76% dos votos válidos no segundo turno da disputa, contra 48,24% do senador do PL do Rio, que não pode mais alcançar o petista.
