Statt auf Anbieter wie Visa oder PayPal, will die EU mit dem digitalen Euro ein eigenes Zahlungssystem etablieren. Neben Zahlungen per Smartphone, soll eine Bezahlkarte angeboten werden. Bargeld bleibt aber auch künftig unabdingbar, erklärt Finanzexperte Daniel Metcalf.
