Hij trok door de beruchte Darién Gap, stak de Beringstraat tussen Alaska en Rusland over en zwom het Kanaal en de Kaspische Zee over. Na een voettocht van 28 jaar rond de wereld, is de Britse avonturier Karl Bushby vandaag weer thuis. De inmiddels 57-jarige Brit vertrok in 1998 vanuit Punta Arenas, in het zuiden van Chili, aan zijn zogeheten Goliath-expeditie met 500 dollar op zak.
