Od 1 sierpnia nowoczesny test HPV HR całkowicie zastąpił tradycyjną cytologię w programie profilaktyki raka szyjki macicy. Badanie jest finansowane przez NFZ i można je wykonać bez skierowania. Nowy test jest znacznie bardziej dokładny i pozwala na wykrycie zmian przedrakowych.
