Afgelopen maand was wereldwijd de warmste oktober ooit gemeten en het is nu vrijwel zeker dat 2026 door de 1,5 graad opwarming gaat. Dat blijkt uit de nieuwste gegevens van het Europese aardobservatieprogramma Copernicus. Daarmee lijkt het erop dat 2026 het tweede kalenderjaar wordt waarin die symbolisch belangrijke 1,5 graad wordt overschreden. De vorige keer was in 2024. Hoewel het langjarig gemiddelde hiermee nog niet door de 1,5 graad gaat, gaan de Verenigde Naties er inmiddels wel van uit…
