מתפרעים לובשי שחורים הסתערו הלילה על חנויות בגדים, הנעלה ואלקטרוניקה, הבעירו אש, ניפצו חלונות ראווה וגנבו מכל הבא ליד. חלקם עשו זאת בשידור חי ברשתות - תוך שהגולשים מעודדים אותם. באיטליה נחשף אחד ממלבי הפרעות במילאנו: יוסף סיהר, שהקים ערוץ טלגרם וקרא למאות אלפים לכבוש את הכיכרות. הוא בן מהגרים ופעיל פרו-פלסטיני שהפיץ תכנים של חמאס, שיתף פעולה עם ערוץ חיזבאללה ושיבח את מתקפת 7 באוקטובר: "מעשה מהפכני נגד הקולוניזציה"
